Company History

What do you get when you combine years of experience and knowledge with fresh, dynamic innovation? The best and simplest streaming solution possible.
StreamOn represents a labor of love drawn from many, many years of radio broadcast experience. After winning a DJ contest in high school, Roger Charest Sr.’s broadcasting career took off. Eventually he went on to launch 10 stations and a family business, now in its third generation, called the OK Radio Group.
Roger Charest Jr. continued with the family broadcasting business, and has a long history in radio. He started StreamOn in 2002 when he was looking for the best streaming solution out there — one that was stress-free and highly reliable. He honestly couldn’t find a solution that he could trust to serve his stations the way he needed. So he decided to develop his own. The rest is, as they say, history.
Today Carter Charest is a vital part of the StreamOn team. Like his father and grandfather, he knows the radio and broadcasting business like the back of his hand. Fresh and full of energy, he knows what listeners these days want and the latest technology and gadgets they are using. He understands how broadcasters think. He knows what stations need.
The StreamOn team has been focused on finding the best streaming solutions since the early days of the Internet. Today, with state-of-the-art data centers, a high bandwidth fiber optic Internet connection, and an in-house technical team, StreamOn offers a mission-critical, broadcast-quality solution that’s built by broadcasters for broadcasters.
